Let's try something new shall we?
This is my first try with ETHAN.'s B&W mode, which I've never explored before.
It's nice to try something new every now and then, right?

    ACCOMPLISHED.
    (hiii-ya! :boogie:)

Here's a little idea I thought of just now. How 'bout every end of the month (or maybe the first day of the next month) I post things I've accomplished or things that I'm proud of that I've done. Ok, too many run-on sentences there, but hey, let's start with January shall we?

I got to know my beloved group68 more. I'm happy to say that we've grown closer as the duty days add on. Wala nang tahimik, lahat pinakita na ang tunay na kulay.
I've had the realization that my attitude towards schoolwork won't help me achieve the personal status I am aiming for my academics. Studying is as important as playing.
I've been independent these past few weeks, and I'm becoming proud of myself for doing things on my own. I have the sense of freedom overwhelming me again. It's a though job, but hey, at least I'm learning.
I rode the LRT2 line on my own! I'm starting to like travelling to far places on my own. Commuting, finding my way around is much better than taking the cab and pointing the directions.
The 4 rolls of 110 film I sent to digiprint has all been exposed properly. The 135 didn't do so well. I've got a lot to learn in film photography.
I've learned to be patient. Something this month made me sit for hours in one place. It gave me time to contemplate on things.

(HOPE YOU HAD AN AWESOME JANUARY)

Just a little something from my PROJECT 365.

    A few thousand takes

I failed on posting a photodump last night. I admit, I forgot that I had classes on a non-school day, thanks to the wonderful powers of uni admins. Though, I could've done the posting last night but I was too tired to do so. Uni, again, drained my magical ability of being active in the online world :blank:

I see that a quite a number of people commented on the PNDY sig. All the credit goes to the wonderful DannyB. (though I think it's a total rip-off of his design, SORRY).

    ----------

I'm a person who gets easily discouraged. I don't know how or why, it's not so dominant on our gene pool.

This Friday I got my package from Digiprint, the 5 rolls of film that I subjected to my own personal humiliation. Flabbergasted was I, but after a few minutes of looking at the sets, sadness suddenly knocked on my door. I was happy that the 4 rolls of 110 film was exposed properly (yes, I finally learned about exposure) but the subjects were so empty. It's like I wasted 4 rolls of film on taking pictures of clouds and other random objects which aren't very interesting. I made up an alibi so the hopeful hobbyist in me won't die, "You're just a starter. You are learning about what you love. Concepts may come in later." But I think that is a wrong reason. Along with learning about something, you should also have the passion to put it into heart. In this case, along with learning photography, you should also start learning the different aspects, angles and you should start thinking about concepts that is of your interest.

You're wondering now about the 5th roll of film.. The 35mm film didn't make it, out of 36 shots only 21 shots came out. Overexposure or underexposure, you get the idea.

So, will I give up film photography? A Big NO. It's something that is need to be learned. A person once said, "After a few thousand takes, that's when you suddenly realize that you're learning, and you're improving." I might give it a rest and resort to digital once again, I need some trial and error in my life.

Analog Photography will always have my heart. Someday, I'll master it too.

    Droplet Miserable

It's been raining all day, and it's not something to be happy about. Actually, I've become quite miserable the first time the plane descended to this damp city. I was hoping - wait make that PRAYING that the whole break will be sunny. Sunny-cloudy could do, but this weather is a NO NO. I had so many plans in mind and I can't believe this wretched weather is ruining all that. I still have two rolls of film in our freezer and I want want want to use them all NOW!

I haven't started looking for things here, perhaps vintage? Or maybe antique ones? I'm on a hunt to look for cameras, outfits, blah blah to use or to display in my room. YES, I am introducing much clutter to my room back in mnla. I remember the Polaroid camera I was playing with when I was a kid, it's useless but it would look oh so damn good on top of my bookshelf. I also found out my grands were big enthusiasts of photography and they own a MINOLTA SLR, which, I found out from my mother, is still functional. I can't wait to have it on the 31st! *shutter happy*

I can't stop looking at lomo and analog shops in multiply. Everyday I go to those shops and browse through the albums just to compare prices and read about these wonderful babies. Right now I'm torned between buying a Vivitar IC 100 and a CDR king analog camera. LOL

    ----------

Mom went back to Manila today to finish their annual report. I don't know if she had enough rest this week. She was too busy preparing for her promotion. Well, the hard work was all worth worth it, it's not official yet but I guess it's time to call her MAJOR YUCHINGTAT now. Congratulations Mom on the promotion. :)

Toodle-doo. I'm working on the layout now, finally.

I made a new layout, finally! HEEHEE. That picture on your left is a sneak preview on what's about to come. :boogie: It's really simple. I'm minimalistic when in comes to layouts, or in other words, I lost my graphics "madskillz" so I'm stuck at making layouts like these. I made sure I had a big space for my entries so that I could post good Q photos. I'm really excited to put it up but I'm not done with the coding yet. It'll be a while before I put this up. *sigh*

Anyhoo, I've been to DV two times this week. You should never go there during weekends lalo na pag hindi ka sanay. Too many people there, if you want to experience rubbing elbows (and maybe some other body parts ) with people, you should go there. Anyway, I bought a 50P shirt that is oh so adorable. I don't care if it's 50P, what matters is it's a cutest thing I've ever seen in a while. I'll be putting up an outfit if I have time. I already bought gifts for our Christmas party on the 17th and for my friends. And THANK GOD I'm not yet broke this week.

Today was a sunny day. Again, THANK GOD He heard my prayers. Since it was a sunny day, I brought YELL along with me so we could go out and play in the sunlight. I expect good shots to come out from that film! I'm still devastated about my first roll of film.

    Neat?

Well, I have many things on my desk as of now. I cleared my desk a month ago, and look how things magically piled up again. I have no sense of organization, a poor trait of mine. A trait which I obviously need work on.

My family has this weird behavior of keeping things, even the useless ones. I seem to have inherited it from my mother and lola, the reason why our house is nowhere near "spacious". It's a death dreamland for claustrophobic people. From old gradeschool books to old receipts, it sure bring the memories back, but please, the clutter it results to is dismaying. If we go on a cleaning spree, it would take us 2 months to "clean" the living room alone. That may even be an understatement.

You may compare my room to a junkyard. It's a hard place to breathe in, literaly. I feel rather squeezed in. There is no room to move at all. Ok, maybe a tiny bit of space where I could dance around, but other than that, no room at all. I lack time to actually focus on revamping my room. Uni work, duties, projects, how could you have time for cleaning your room? Somebody told me to work on it slowly, like arrange my desk for a start. Don't tell me I didn't try.

The problem with me is I don't want somebody arranging my room. Nobody else has a sense of what I actually want, how I want my things to be arranged. I don't want my things to be touched, a strict order of mine to our Ate Rose. Even I can't read myself. I want things to be organized. I can't call it OCD or any other disorders. Maybe I'm just a lazy lazy person.

    ----------

This summer, I'm planning to revamp my room. Hopefully I can push through with it. HOPEFULLY.
