I never thought I'd see the sun again. It has been raining all day yesterday and I thought the sun would never come out again. It was 24C here in Legazpi and all I only wore a thin sando and short-shorts
(LOL), workin' it like the summer sun is out.
The sun came out this noon, that moment made me one happy idiot *points to the picture*. The dark skies made way for haring araw, haring araw gave me a chance to go out and finally go to the mall. I hunted for an apt 2009 planner which looks clean and artistic at the same time. I looked for the CD-R King 35mm toycam too, and the never ending hunt for the red plaid shirt commenced. I came home bringing a Bratsplash Kiwi hand sanitizer, 2 Clearpores and a slinky toy. No planner, no toycam and no red plaid shirt.
It's a so-so day. Happy, because the sun came out. Not so happy because shit happens... everyday. Shit happened because I found out that I wasted a roll of Kodacolor film on my mom's Hanimex camera. I thought only the indicator was broken, but I just figured out this morning that the film isn't rolling. The camera makes a motorized winding sound but the indicator isn't moving. This is a perfect example of an unhappy accident.
It's been raining all day, and it's not something to be happy about. Actually, I've become quite miserable the first time the plane descended to this damp city. I was hoping - wait make that PRAYING that the whole break will be sunny. Sunny-cloudy could do, but this weather is a NO NO. I had so many plans in mind and I can't believe this wretched weather is ruining all that. I still have two rolls of film in our freezer and I want want want to use them all NOW!
I haven't started looking for things here, perhaps vintage? Or maybe antique ones? I'm on a hunt to look for cameras, outfits, blah blah to use or to display in my room. YES, I am introducing much clutter to my room back in mnla. I remember the Polaroid camera I was playing with when I was a kid, it's useless but it would look oh so damn good on top of my bookshelf. I also found out my grands were big enthusiasts of photography and they own a MINOLTA SLR, which, I found out from my mother, is still functional. I can't wait to have it on the 31st! *shutter happy*
I can't stop looking at lomo and analog shops in multiply. Everyday I go to those shops and browse through the albums just to compare prices and read about these wonderful babies. Right now I'm torned between buying a Vivitar IC 100 and a CDR king analog camera. LOL

Mom went back to Manila today to finish their annual report. I don't know if she had enough rest this week. She was too busy preparing for her promotion. Well, the hard work was all worth worth it, it's not official yet but I guess it's time to call her MAJOR YUCHINGTAT now. Congratulations Mom on the promotion. :)

We're The New Face of Failure

So another Christmas season has finished. Hope you had a great christmas opposed to mine which was so-so and quite sad. Thanks to "teh boyfriend" and his quite puzzling, scratchy call with the words"Meri krismas I lab yuuuu. *cut*"
Good news! I wore a dress last Christmas day, a first. I looked pretty good despite wearing an attire fit for clubbing. I threw in my mom's black cardigan for a little decency. Since I was so full of myself, I forgot to take vanity pictures. I guess that's for the better. I liked the attention and the sneering glances, but at soon as we got home after the mass, I became Pauline the ugly snobby princess again. AHA! Irony! We held a little family photoshoot for the season but the grands weren't so keen with fake poses. We came up with a decent amount of pictures to be proud of.
Christmas day is also my Tito Ton's birthday, so it's normal we don't have noche buenas 12mn. Instead, we hold this big handaan where my tito cooks all these scrumptious, full of carbs, fattening food. As a relative of the host, we get to eat the handa earlier than the guests. My sister and I pigged out on 4 slices of turkey breast, 3 pieces of chicken cordon bleu, a very very generous amount of rice, a slice of my lola's buko pandan ala fruit salad and a can of coke while watching Emma Roberts' Wild Child. Best Christmas? Not really. But it was good.

I haven't updated for 5 days already! Too much for promising that I'll write an entry everyday. I'm having writer's block. But then again I'm just going to write about my day and what happened, it doesn't need too much thinking right? You know how writer's block happen right? Its those times when you want to write about so much things, but when you face your monitor, everything dissolves immediately. I've been experiencing it for the past 5 days.
I wasn't able to finish coding the new layout. I have a long list of to-do's but at the end of the day, none of them gets a check in the box. I'm still not finished with my gift wrapping, I still have to clean my room, I have to pack my things and make another long checklist before my 6am flight on Saturday. AND I have to do
ALL of that tomorrow.
Anyway, back to the layout, as what I said before it'll take a while before I can put it up. I'm starting the CSS code from scratch, hopefully I could launch it in time for the new year.

I made a new layout, finally! HEEHEE. That picture on your left is a sneak preview on what's about to come.
It's really simple. I'm minimalistic when in comes to layouts, or in other words, I lost my graphics
"madskillz" so I'm stuck at making layouts like these. I made sure I had a big space for my entries so that I could post good Q photos. I'm really excited to put it up but I'm not done with the coding yet. It'll be a while before I put this up. *sigh*
Anyhoo, I've been to DV two times this week. You should never go there during weekends

) with people, you should go there. Anyway, I bought a 50P shirt that is oh so adorable. I don't care if it's 50P, what matters is it's a cutest thing I've ever seen in a while. I'll be putting up an outfit if I have time. I already bought gifts for our Christmas party on the 17th and for my friends. And
THANK GOD I'm not yet broke this week.
Today was a sunny day. Again,
THANK GOD He heard my prayers. Since it was a sunny day, I brought YELL along with me so we could go out and play in the sunlight. I expect good shots to come out from that film! I'm still devastated about my first roll of film.

I'm just going to do a very quick post for the sake of updating this.
I know no one read this, but whatever, I feel like sharing my day.
I was equipped with tales from yesterday's trip to 168, the good and the ugly. The good, being the wonderful cheap things I found there.
MYKA was obviously
jelly.
We had a new concept for NCM, Fluids and Electrolytes. I almost fell asleep after the break. Which reminds me, I should get adequate sleep as in
right now.
Good news! We didn't have Com Dev. AGAIN this day and tomorrow. Another problem, MYKA and I didn't know where we were going to spend our 4 hour break.
So to make use of our super long 4 hour break, we went to
Ever and
NBS. I found the best gift I could possibly give my mother. Me thinks she will absolutely love it.
Research was crap, no need to mention that.
During the afternoon break, we bumped elbows with our other group members.
GEL showed us a bottle of vodka that is made of heaven. A Cappucino Mudshake. YUM.
Pharma was, so-so.
My wallet has been raided again. I ate too much today. I paid for unecessary things. *sigh* I consider our treasurers robbers.
LOL.I have two exams lined up for tomorrow. Two quizzes for NCM and a prelim exam for Pharma. I have to study, but I'm too sleepy! *sigh*

It's the day where my mom and I were scheduled to go to DV and shop shop shop (I dunno, what's up with the repeat-the-word 3x thing). I equipped myself with my wallet
inside is a 20 € bill,
OSY, my candy necklace and my mom's Hersheys bag. I had no plans to buy anything. I promised myself that I will only look and not reach into my pockets to buy the temptations. I now proved to myself that I lack self-discipline.
Upon arriving, we went to the money exchange
na nakatago sa gilid ng Annex ng DV to exchange the € to PHP. I had 1.25K then! But at the end of the day,
piso piso na lang ang natira. I have to admit I am a major spender when it comes to things I want. This month alone I spent 3k for
MY WANTS, excluding the money I spent for my
load nakakarami sakin ang Globe. Later that afternoon, my mom tagged me along to go grocery shopping at San Lazaro. I brought my first 110 film (btw, I got my Holga Baby already
) to be developed at Digiprint. My stupidity won over me. I told the person to develop the pictures
AND scan the film, that's why I spent 269php for the whole transaction.
To be honest, I can't barely remember what things I bought and exactly how much I spent this day. All I know is I had 1k on hand, and now it magically vanished after a day full of shoving, eating and shopping.

WHAT HAPPENED TODAY.
I was finally assigned to ICU!
It's a place where you can see a 1:1 patient:nurse ratio. Q15 patients and we were able to work on our interacting "skillz" with the patients. We got to do procedures and such. It was such a nice learning environment.
